Organization: Animal Hospital of Bonita and Boarding
Position Title: Pre-Vet Intern
I am a current student at the University of Florida majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Zoology. After undergrad, I plan on pursuing my passion for veterinary medicine. In my free time, I enjoy doing anything outdoors and spending time with friends and family!
Earning my BACE credential helped me become more familiar with common laboratory techniques, enabling me to work quicker and more independently than my peers.
I assist the veterinarian and technicians during exams, surgeries, and basic procedures. I use my knowledge from BACE to run basic laboratory tests on samples and we use many of the same lab techniques and equipment.
All the hands-on work with the animals in a veterinary setting, every day it proves to me that this is the career I want to have.
