Earning Your Credential: The APTC Exam
To earn the Aseptic Processing Technician Credential (APTC), candidates must take and pass the Aseptic Processing Technician Credentialing Exam (APTCE), which assesses a candidate’s readiness to perform aseptic processing tasks in compliance with current good manufacturing practices (CGMP) and regulatory expectations for sterile manufacturing environments. The exam covers 6 categories.
- Closed-book, computer-based format
- Delivered online through the University of Florida’s e-Learning platform
- 75 multiple-choice, scenario-based, true/false, and matching questions
- Exam length: up to two hours
- Permitted exam locations: at a Biotility-approved Exam Site with a live proctor OR through remote proctoring via ProctorU
- Required score to pass: 80%
- Length of credential validity: five years
