Josie earned the Biotechnology Aptitude and Competency Exam (BACE) credential while attending Santa Fe High School and then used the credential to show that she had experience in a lab setting and with aseptic technique.
> Job Description:
While Josie’s role mainly focuses on pipetting serial dilutions, they also do food safety work for clients whose products are mandated by the FDA to go through an acidified cold fill hold challenge study (a scientific validation that ensures a product with a pH of 4.6 or lower, filled at room temperature without high-heat processing, can safely destroy vegetative pathogens).

Josie loves her job because she is always learning and trying to figure things out. She says it can be a little stressful, but she wouldn’t change anything.
