Earning Your Credential: The QCTCE Exam
To earn the Quality Control Technician Credential, candidates must take and pass the Quality Control Technician Credentialing Exam (QCTCE). This exam evaluates readiness to perform core quality control functions in compliance with current industry standards. Content is organized across six key domains: laboratory skills and techniques, contamination and quality control, documentation and record-keeping, regulatory compliance, cleanroom operations, and data analysis and reporting.
The QCTCE is a closed-book, computer-based exam delivered online through the University of Florida’s e-Learning platform and remotely proctored via ProctorU. The exam includes approximately 75 multiple-choice, scenario-based, and true/false questions, administered in a single two-hour session. A passing score of 80 percent is required to earn the credential, which is valid for five years.
Exam Fee: The QCTCE costs $215 per attempt.
