Position Overview
Biotility is seeking a part-time Communications Assistant (20 hours per week). This is an in-person position at our off-campus office and the candidate must be able to commit to a set schedule, including during summer and semester breaks. Open to non-students as well as students willing to commit to at least a year. This role is within a fast-paced environment with many deadlines, requiring a high level of motivation and attention to detail.
What You Will Assist With
- Production of three newsletters
- Maintenance of marketing contacts and mailing lists
- Preparation for tradeshows and other company appearances
- Creation of social media posts and maintenance of social media calendar
- Creation of content for client and lead communications
- Upkeep of website content
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and experience working in an office setting
- Understanding of basic marketing/public relations principles
- Relevant marketing, public relations, or communications work experience
- Firm grasp of social media principles (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook)
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate work assignments independently
- Eye for detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including spelling, punctuation, and grammar)
- Working knowledge of email, search engines, and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with graphic design, familiarity with Canva
- Experience using a CRM system
- Experience using WordPress
- General scientific and/or bioscience knowledge
Compensation
Pay is $16.00/hour at 20 hours per week
