> About:
Pragna Talluri is a student at the University of Florida who is majoring in Health Science. Throughout high school, she took classes in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program and was encouraged by her Medical Interventions teacher to take the BACE. Because of this opportunity, Pragna realized and understood the importance of research and learned necessary lab skills and content to succeed.
> Academic and Career Goals:
Pragna would love to pursue a career in medicine. Ever since she was young, she was always fascinated with the sciences, especially diseases and the human anatomy. As she took courses in the PLTW program, she found herself enjoying learning and practicing lab techniques. She recently earned her First Responder certification, plans to attend EMT school, and eventually wants to work towards a lab-oriented career such as pathologist or medical technician.
> Academic and Career Preparation:
As an undergraduate student, Pragna believes the BACE credential will open more opportunities to work in research that requires working in a lab. This will show her mentors that she is proficient in a set of lab techniques and that she has had experience working with basic lab equipment. As she aspires to pursue a career that involves lab work, the BACE credential is essential to Pragna’s resume.
