Since earning the Biotechnology Aptitude and Competency Exam (BACE) credential in 2015, Emily’s career aspirations led her to attend law school. After graduating high school and beginning her studies at Florida Southern College, she became interested in the legal side of scientific and biotechnology advancements. Now entering her first year at Stetson University College of Law, Emily credits the research and analytical skills she developed through her biotechnology studies and BACE preparation with helping shape her academic and career goals in Intellectual Property, Contract Law, and Patent Law.

The BACE credential helped Emily strengthen her critical thinking and research skills, which are skills that are important in Law school and in a legal career. Emily was also introduced to the many non-traditional career paths available to people interested in biotechnology and science.
> Job Description:
Emily is currently a full-time student. In her first semester at Stetson University College of Law, she will be taking courses about Contracts, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, and Legal Writing & Research.
