Course Description
This course provides training on the elements contained in the ISO 14001 Specification for Environmental Management Systems, and the benefits of implementing these elements. It describes the need for a continuous improvement system to properly manage the myriad regulated issues and activities applicable to biotech companies, as well as the principles of Plan-Do-Check-Act that underlie the ISO 14001 specification. The course also delineates the requirements of the ISO 14001 specification along with recommendations on how these requirements can be met by an organization wanting to become ISO-certified. Learners will be equipped to evaluate their company against ISO 14001 requirements to identify gaps and evaluate the resources needed for company implementation and improvement.
Suggested audiences include environmental managers and staff, management at ISO 14001-certified organizations, management system auditors, and individuals implementing or converting to ISO 14001 at their organizations.
