Shermi Liang, Ph.D. serves as the assistant lab manager for the BACE team at Biotility, where she helps with day to day operations. She has a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Florida. Throughout her science career, she has studied a wide range of topics, including plant systematics, beta-globin gene regulation, and genetic markers for cancer risk.  She also taught anatomy and physiology as an adjunct professor at Santa Fe College.

Fun Fact: Shermi is a member of a local volunteer stage combat troupe, which combines three of her favorite hobbies – martial arts, sewing, and costuming!
