Course Description

This course provides a fast-paced review of the ISO 45001 specification with commentary on the intent and implementation of ISO 45001 based on real-world experience. This course equips the student to evaluate their organization against ISO 45001 requirements to identify gaps and evaluate the resources needed for implementation and improvement.

The course begins by explaining the need for a continuous improvement system to properly protect employees from the safety risks applicable to biotech companies and then describes the requirements of the ISO 45001 specification, along with recommendations on how these requirements can be met by an organization aiming to become ISO-certified.

Suggested audiences include environmental managers and staff, management at ISO 45001-certified organizations, management system auditors, and individuals implementing or converting to ISO 45001 at their organizations.
